what’s up with that banner pic?

oh, that’s just one small segment of an alley in rapid city, south dakota where the art ran rampant. it’s a particularly delightful discovery in such a town, given the staunch appearance of the life-size president statues on every street corner.

the alley is full of graffiti, paintings, textures, mounted canvases–oh, and trash cans, garbage, cars, crappy broken screen door fire escapes, dumpsters, loading docks, and bad smells. it’s almost like a seizure or sneeze or something the town didn’t mean to have happen. its dirty little secret. the only place where art was forgiven.
